I really enjoyed learning about Elvis in this lesson. My grandpa’s favorite artist is Elvis, so I wanted to learn more about him.

I enjoyed learning about the foundation of The Beatles, knowing how far they have came to this day. 3/4 of the songs mentioned in this Substack I have heard of and make these lessons seem enjoyable as I am tuning into the behind the scenes of the artists. I find it interesting how they alongside Beethoven, combined synthesis and innovation to create great music. What were the Beetles MOST known for?

Meet the Beatles! was the first Beatles album released in the U.S. It had popular songs like “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “I Saw Her Standing There.” The album was very popular and helped start Beatlemania in America. It was also important because it came at a sad time for the country and helped lift people’s spirits .Why do many people liked the Beatles right away?

This sub stack talks about the overall background of how the Beatles were formed. Many of the band members left the band with only John, Paul, and George being the remaining members, new members join one such as Stuart, forming the band name The Beatles. What I found interesting was how Each members mixed their different types of music genres as well as their different music skills together creating unique and innovative music. One question I have is how does music affect one's relationship with others?

Im suprised that the beatles were inspired alot by skiffle music and that their band started out by playing skiffle music. The beatles had rose to power in the rock and roll scene and had inspired many others with their unique style of music. Through their rise they faced alot of challenges like the lost of their freind stuart sutcliffe. Even through these challenges they still overcame their challenges and rose to fame making music. I wonder how their band had an influence on other band's that were emerging at the time of their music releasing?

I never knew much about the Beatles. Learning about their history and personal backgrounds was eye opening. This band seems to be one of a kind, and I'm glad I got to hear about their influence on one of my favorite genres of music. But, what if the Beatles never existed?

I think The Beatles have some very interesting history together. I personally have never listened to The Beatles prior to this (that I know of) and learning about their impact and greatness makes me want to give their music a listen. I liked their songs in the substack.

How did Stuart's death really affect the band?

It's inspiring to know that despite George being a bit too young to join the band, he persisted and became an inspiring rock artist. It's also cool to see an artist pick up an instrument and join a band such as Stuart joining Johnny and the Moondogs. Though it is sad he didn't last long and died a couple years later from brain hemorrhage. What were the rest of the crew thinking after the incident?

I liked learning about the Beatles and how much of an influence they had over there music and how they improved. I also liked learning about the importance of them how they got to the level they were on. I also liked learning about these other artists and how they had an impact on the music industry. It was interesting how they took over the U.S.A with there music and how well known they were.

Learning about history is always very interesting, especially for something as broad as music. Personally I myself have never fully listened to a Beatles or Elvis song before reading through these, but I can definitely see how important they were to Rock as a whole. I also do enjoy learning about the struggles that the Beatles went through early on, along with how they were incredibly creative, using influences, cultures, and other genres in tandem with their own. I do wonder, out of all of their songs, which genre that isn’t rock is most represented?

The Beatles had to do a lot to get to where they are now. They shuffled from producers or band members. Some producers were disliked and some band members either left for college, had a different passion, or weren't great at what they did. They even had shifts in their name, going from "Johnny and the Moon Dogs" to "The Beatals", then renaming to "The Beatles". What is it that made Americans like The Beatles so much?

I'd always thought the hype over the Beatles was a bit much but seeing how innovative they were makes everything make sense now. It's not just the music itself but what they built upon, improved, and discovered. The way their influence still holds artists today has broadened the world of sound and music in so many ways.

To me, the Beatles’ start shows how hard work and persistence are really important. It find it really cool how they mixed different styles and influences to make their own songs. I wonder how much of their early struggles shaped the music they made later on. How did those early experiences really affect their creative choices?
